PFM Porcelain fused to metal restorations have good mechanical properties, satisfactory esthetic results and acceptable biological quality. However they have some limitations like exposing dark metallic margin if gum recession begins and crowns are opaque due to low space.

Contraindications

Preparation

  • Incisal/Occlusal reduction 2mm
  • Facial/Lingual reduction 1.5mm
  • Cervical reduction 1.2mm
